• After a successful operation, and after the urinary catheter is removed,  your child should pass urine in a single stream from the tip of the penis.
  • The stream may be splayed out initially, but will resemble a normal focussed stream in a few days.
  • The urine stream should flow without straining, and the stream should not be too fine.
  • Though there may be some swelling on the penis for some days, the shape of the penis should look normal, and the shaft should appear straight.
